A World in Turmoil
We are living in uncertain times.
Global tensions continue to rise—conflicts involving the U.S., Israel, and Iran dominate headlines. Strategic regions like the Strait of Hormuz remain under pressure, affecting global oil supply and driving gas prices upward. Markets fluctuate. Economies feel unstable. Lives are being lost.
The world is asking a pressing question:
Where do you find peace when everything around you feels unstable?
But perhaps an even deeper question is this:
How do you have peace… when nothing changes?
📖Jesus Speaks Before the Storm
In the Gospel of John, chapter 14, Jesus speaks to His disciples—not in a time of peace, but on the eve of His crucifixion.
He begins with a command:
“Let not your heart be troubled…” (John 14:1)
And then reinforces it:
“Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.” (John 14:27)
This is critical.
Jesus does not remove the coming trouble.
He prepares them to live through it with peace, using these three keys.

*Read John 14:25-29, 1-3
🔑 1. Receive the Word — Peace Begins with What You Remember
“These things I have spoken to you… But the Helper… will bring to your remembrance all things that I said to you.” (John 14:25–26)
Before the crisis came, Jesus spoke truth into their lives.
Why?
Because in times of trouble, what you remember determines how you respond.
💡 Insight: Peace is grounded not in what you see—but in what you remember. When life becomes chaotic:
Emotions rise
Clarity fades
Fear increases
When life is unclear, you must trust the Word of God over your feelings. Don’t chase new revelations in a crisis. Return to what Jesus already said.
✨ 2. Receive His Peace — Peace Is Given, Not Generated
“Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you…” (John 14:27a)
Jesus makes a distinction:
Worldly peace is temporary and circumstantial
Christ’s peace is internal and relational
💡 Insight: You don’t create peace—you receive it. The world says:
“I’ll be at peace when things change.” Jesus says: “You can have peace before anything changes.”
God’s peace doesn’t react to your situation—it stabilizes you within it. You may still be:
In the same struggle
Facing the same pressure
Waiting on the same answer
And yet…
You can still have peace.
🛑 3. Refuse Fear — Peace Is Sustained by Trust
“Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid… that when it does come to pass, you may believe.” (John 14:27b, 29)
This is not a suggestion—it is a command.
“Let not” means: Do not permit it.
💡 Insight: Peace is maintained by what you allow—and what you refuse.
Fear will come. Trouble will arise. But you decide:
What takes control of your heart.
Fear may knock—but you decide if it enters. You cannot control everything happening around you. But you can control:
What you believe
What you dwell on
What governs your heart
🏁 The Promise: This Is Not the End
Jesus doesn’t stop with commands—He gives hope: “I go to prepare a place for you…” (John 14:2)
This means: Your current trouble is not your final destination.
There is something greater ahead. You can still experience peace even when nothing changes. Because peace is not found when:
the world settles down
problems disappear
circumstances improve
Peace is found when:
you remember His Word
receive His peace
and refuse to let fear take over
Remember too that, Peace is not the absence of trouble… It is the presence of Christ in the middle of it.
So, if you are struggling today:
Go back to what Jesus said
Receive the peace He offers
Make a decision to trust Him—no matter what
Because even when nothing changes…
He is still faithful, in time of trouble.
